Additional Comments: After Culver I went to Santa Monica College for a year and then transferred to UCLA where I roomed with Duncan Henderson and Ed Machado also of CCHS. There I played volleyball, sang in a nightclub band with CCHS musicians Sid Smolen and Mike Sanders and also occasionally studied. Upon completion of my junior year (June, 1970) I chanced upon a friend in Westwood that had become a Hare Krishna monk. Two days later I visited the Hare Krishna Western World Headquarters at Watseka and Venice Blvd in Culver City where I encountered and heard the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. A week later I joined the center as a monk. Since then I have extensively chanted, studied, traveled, taught and written. I serve as a guru and have established a small seminary in Kansas City. My spiritual name is Danavir Goswami.
