What were your favorite places in Culver City: Culver Pool, the little malt shop on Overland (Name?) near the pool. Sneaking into the movie lots, the Drive-in, and riding my bike (later driving my car) down the street where “she” lived. Near CC: Local area beaches, Marina Del Rey (Mud Lake before they built it), SMO airport. Cruising in the old “clunkers”. The movie “American Graffiti” hit it right on!

Interests: Surfing, Snow Skiing, Water Skiing, Scuba Diving. I went from
cars-to-boats-to-planes (with a brief period of motorcycles). I built a ski
boat starting with a bare hull, then an experimental airplane (Rutan
Varieze). Flew it for 18 yrs., raced it, and traveled a lot of the US in it.
Photography & computers (since the DOS days). Published 3 books: USS
INDEPENDENCE CVL-22; RACE -Canard Air Racing; and a CCHS Class of 1963
Reunion book for our 50th reunion. Invited by NOAA as a team member on the
2015 Half Moon Bay USS Independence 3D sonar imaging mission, and as a
Scientist Ashore on the 2016 Robert Ballard Nautilus live streaming video /
photo dive missions on the USS Independence.

Additional Comments: How lucky I was to have grown up in Culver City “then”. How I miss it now. Here’s to the so many acquaintances that should really have been friends! I didn’t know where I was going nor where I fit then. Perhaps I never will !
